Cloudmont Ski Resort, Mentone
Since 1970, this 1,000 acre resort on Lookout Mountain starts making snow with their blowers once the overnight temperatures reach 28 degrees F. Two - 1,000 ft beginners to intermediate slopes are accessible by pony lifts, having an elevation of 1,800 ft and a vertical rise of 150 feet. The season is approximately from December through March, depending on Mother Nature. Weekends & Holidays, 2008-2009 lift ticket prices were $30 for Adults and $25 for Children under 12, however, if you don’t have or don’t want to bring your own ski equipment, the package deals they offer (Skis, Boots, Poles, Lift Tickets & a beginner lesson) save you money. Snowboarding packages are also available.
